Stormstop garage door floor seals offer a simple solution to keep draughts, pests, and moisture out of your garage. Installation is straightforward and with this guide, you can fit these rubber floor seals professionally.
First, the seal roll should be unravelled ahead of time, so that they are straight and easier to fit. You’ll also need to ensure the area is clean and free from debris. Next, measure the exact width of your garage door opening (including the space between the door frame and the brickwork). Cut the seal to size, accounting for any space needed around the door frame. To ensure a perfect fit, place the seal against the inside of the closed door and mark the cutting line on the floor. Open the door and repeat the marking process on the outside edge of the seal.
Apply a line of the included polyurethane adhesive following the marked lines on the floor. Then, add a zig-zag line of adhesive within the marked area for extra hold. Finally, press the seal firmly onto the adhesive, starting from one end and working your way along the entire length. Clean any excess adhesive and allow the seal to cure for 24 hours before use.

Prepare by cleaning the area where the seal will be placed. The seal roll should be unravelled ahead of time, so that they are straight and easier to fit. Then measure the width of the garage door opening as well as the space between the frame and the brickwork. Remember the seal will need to be cut to fit the door frame.
Hold the seal next to the door frame (where it closes). Mark the seal with a pencil to show where you need to cut the recess at each end for it to fit around the frame.
Close the garage door and put the seal inside. Mark the floor where the seal meets the door. Then open the door and do the same for the outside edge of the seal.
Following the marked lines on the floor, apply a line of polyurethane adhesive. Next, apply a zig-zag line of adhesive inside the marked area for a strong hold.
